The Girls of Maloni Ridge
The girls of Maloni Ridge are Elsa, Madilyn,Kenya, Sarabi and Kalimba!
Elsa and Madilyn are mother and daughter. They love to run and hunt on the property. Madi is a very elegant and gentle girl with a wild side! Her name is "Maloni's Mischief Managed"! She loves to run with her brothers, Eli & Oliver.
Elsa's name is "Born Free" and fits her perfectly!
Elsa has been a wonderful mom and teaches her pups all about hunting and chasing game. Elsa would never come in the house, rain or shine, if we didn't make her, and her pups have the same love of the outdoors! Out of our 24 acres we cut about 10 acres and the dogs love to chase the swallows when they come to feed on the insects when we mow. Madi along with Eli and Oliver have learned to be skillful and run along with Elsa and the swallows. It is really a beautiful site to see. We have plans to add some video to the site, please check back for updates.
Kenya is our little doll.
In fact her name is "Wild West What a Doll"
She is a Wild West puppy and her pedigree reflects her African heritage. She is a mother hen when puppies arrive and we look forward to seeing her with her own litter.
Kalimba
Kalimba is one of Elsa's puppies and lives with her owners Judy and Ray
Kalimba is our first born Maloni Champion!
Kalimba lives in Fairport, NY with her mom & dad, Judy and Ray Ricker, and her brother (4 year old Gamba - Elsa's littermate) She has finished her championship!! She is a wonderful addition to the family, and the boys let her completely rule the roost!
Judy and Ray are both musician's, and the name "Kalimba" is actually a tiny African thumb piano. She loves it when musicians come to the house to rehearse, and curls up with the boys to listen!
Sarabi
Sarabi and Elsa share the same mother and are like night and day, except for their love of Lure Coursing.
Sarabi is elegant, sweet and gentle,but counter surfs like a pro.
She has mad surfing skills and is the only Maloni dog who does.
If points and ribbons were awarded for this event she would be the grand champion!
She has made us just as skillfull at putting things out of reach as she is at getting into them.
Sarabi is retired from coursing and surfing we hope,she enjoys couch time and snuggling under the covers,and we wouldn't have it any other way!
